During this scene in Act 2, Romeo went off on his own to find Juliet after the party, with already falling deeply in love with her. He approaches a light lit window and wonders who is inside. Juliet later appears on the balcony, and they gave their vows to each other. This scene took place at night, and I think Shakespeare used the darkness as a sign that their love is forbidden and it could lead them on to a road of many obstacles.

The next day, Romeo goes to ask Friar to help him get married to Juliet. After talking to Friar, Romeo meet the nurse and told her to tell Juliet to meet him at St. Peters Church later that day for their marriage. That afternoon, Romeo and Juliet got married.

I think both the nurse and Friar was opposing to this marriage. However, since both of them treats the young couple with true sincerity, they went against their conscience and let them follow their hearts. It is presented to the couple that their road is going to be bumpy and unclear. During the party, Tybalt who is Juliet's cousin has already developed harsh feeling for Romeo when he attended the party.
