Mercutio and Benvolio ran into the hot tempered Tybalt. Soon, Romeo arrives and Tybalt tries to start a fight with him. However, Romeo did not wish for a fight for that Tybalt is now his cousin in law. Blinded by his hate towards Romeo, Tybalt accidentally kills Mercutio who is protective towards Romeo. After Mercutio's death, Romeo Kills Tybalt in seek of revenge for Mercutio. Romeo soon feels guilty for his actions and plants to leave the city due to his love for Juliet. The Prince went easy on Romeo, so instead of given him the death penalty, he banished him.
Juliet finds out what happened and told the nurse that she would like to meet Romeo one last time before he leaves. At this point, Romeo is so upset with himself and the decision that has been made by the prince that he offers to kill himself with a dagger. He clams that death is better than banishment.
later that day, Juliet's father told her that she will be marrying Paris in the following week. With determination, Juliet refuses to marry Paris which caused her father to threaten her into the marriage by disowning her. Everyone in her family including the nurse thinks that is best if she marry's Paris
Without anyone else to look to, Juliet decides to go the Friar for help. I think the dramatic change gives suspense to the story that makes you wonder what will the star-cross lovers do to reunite. The sudden deaths that occurred in both families shows that their love will lead to more blood shed.
